ny-āyám. (fr. 4. ni) that into which a thing goes back
i.e. an original type, standard, method, rule, (esp.) a general orᅠ universal rule, model, axiom, system, plan, manner, right orᅠ fit manner orᅠ way, fitness, propriety TS. Br. Mn. MBh. etc.
